Tyne Rowing Club held it's Sesquicentennial Dinner in December 2002 at the Civic Centre in Newcastle upon Tyne. The guest of honour was Sir Steve Redgrave.

The dinner was attended by over 400 people including current and past club members, captians and presidents as well as members of the regional and national rowing community.

The dinner was sponsored by the Regional Development Agency, One North East and Northumbria University.
